On the drive, we were driving beside the Rangitikei River, but never close enough to take a picture of it. We decided to turn off the main thoroughfare and work our way toward the river. When we finally crested the last rise before the river, we saw this. A sheep farmer was herding his sheep to another paddock along with his sheep dogs. None of us had ever seen it before, so we stopped and took some pictures before turning around and heading back.
